Peaches

One of the amazing things about Danny's parents is their green thumb.  Papa works hard every year on his epic garden, and we enjoy the fruits of his labors all summer and into the fall.  And they have wonderful fruit trees, the best of which are the peaches.  This year, we got together to freeze over 50 lbs of fresh, homegrown peaches.  We decided on Alton Brown's recipe, which interestingly enough includes smoked paprika.  It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.


And the "fruits" of our labors (pun totally and completely intended) were beautiful and delicious!


We're one step closer to self-sufficiency. :)  Thank you, Papa and Grandma, for sharing your knowledge and produce with us!
