We love football season! On Saturday, October 12th, BYU was facing off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at home. It was Claire's turn to go, and she was beyond excited! She was so anxious to try out the face stickers we bought for the girls to wear. She looked adorable!
Danny and Claire went to pick up Papa, Uncle David, and Aunt Julie. Then it was on to Provo!
It was a beautiful fall day for some football! Each home game has a theme to dress by, like white-outs, blue-outs, black-outs, royal blue, etc. The theme for this game was actually a striped stadium! So depending on where your ticket was, you would wear either blue or white. It looked pretty cool!
But Claire was stressed. Her football t-shirt was the wrong color! She only had blue, and our section was supposed to wear white. Danny promised her that they'd stop by the Cougar Den at the stadium and see if they couldn't find her a white shirt. Danny's always good to buy more BYU stuff. Claire will have to remember to ask for a blue car with an oval "Y" sticker on it for her 16th birthday...I'm pretty sure she'd get it. :) Claire knows this. So as soon as she saw the Hello Kitty with the BYU shirt, she knew it was hers! And Daddy delivered... :) Could you say no to that little fan face? I didn't think so.
Claire did great through the game. She cheered for the Cougars, and asked her Dad all the right questions. She's going to make some boy very happy some day. :)
But, she is only six, so after a while she got bored. That's where Aunt Julie and an iPhone come in handy. These crazy girls...
The Cougars were victorious! But the best part of all was the quality Daddy-Daughter time. It makes my heart burst to see these two together. I still remember watching Danny walk with Claire out in the grass in front of our apartment. It was just the three of us then. Claire made us a family, and she is more beautiful and smart and fun than I could have ever imagined.
The best part of the football season are these memories that we are making together!
