Our kids are growing up! It's hard to believe, but for the first time in our married life, literally, we don't have a baby on the way or a baby in our arms! We've never gone this long before. As different as it is, it is fun to focus on the kids that we have and how fast they're growing up. Like Claire Bear. On November 12th, Claire lost her first tooth! She has been wiggling that bad boy for weeks, and finally it came out. I expected her to freak out a little, as a lot of kids do. But she surprised me by being rather calm about the whole thing. Until she saw what the Tooth Fairy left in exchange for that precious toothling...two whole dollars!! The Tooth Fairy must adjust for inflation. :)
And of course, a post isn't complete without Luke in the spotlight. :) We're still working on getting this little guy mobile, but we are starting to see some serious progress! While we were watching a BYU game at Grandma and Papa's, Grandma got the idea to construct a walking apparatus for Luke. Lukey even helped put it together!
It worked awesome, and our little man was cruising!
And he was darn proud of himself. :)
There's just no stopping it. These kids are growing up. Sometimes, Danny and I can't wait to be done with the diapers and tantrums and kids in our bed. But most of the time, we wish we could freeze time and enjoy this a little bit longer.
