On Christmas day, our little man turned 4 months old!  Doesn't he look so handsome in his nice church clothes?  We took this picture on the 26th after church, when he had his Christmas Sunday clothes on.  His vest and tie actually matched the girl's dresses, but did I get a picture of that?  No... :)

Johnny still seems older than he is!  He is such a pleasant baby.  He loves to interact with people, and people love getting him to smile and talk to them.  It was especially fun to have so much family around, and see how everyone just loved our little guy.  Aunt Katie grew especially fond of him during our time in Utah.  I can't blame her!  This little guy has me whooped...

Johnny's well-child check up went well.  Obviously, he's still growing!  I had decided, and was glad to get the support of Dr. Edralin, to wait to start solids until he's six months old.  He's gaining weight just fine by nursing!    Dr. Edralin is seeing some progress with the shape of his skull, and we meet with Dr. Kris for a treatment evaluation on Friday.  Hopefully we won't have too many more physical therapy appointments to go to.

Here are some of the things that Johnny has accomplished, or just gotten better at, over the last month:

*Wears size 3 diapers
*Is exclusively in 6-9 months clothes
*Has found his feet, and LOVES playing with them
*Rolled over for the first time, from back to tummy, on his right side
*Still loves to suck on his hands, though he hasn't been sucking on his thumb at all
*Is EXCELLENT at gripping anything put in front of him, and promptly putting it into his mouth
*Played in the bouncer for the first time, and enjoyed it
*Laughs at the girls when he watches them play
*Recognizes when Daddy gets home, and gets really excited
*Tries to sit up on his own when he's on your lap or in his bouncy seat, so he can either grab his toes or get a better view
*LOVES to stand up on your legs when you're holding him...he's just so strong

You're awesome, John!  Seriously.  Awesome.
