Christmas Adam

Rachel's birthday is really the beginning of Christmas for us...because right after Rachel's birthday it's Christmas Adam!! This year were were all bringing soups to share, and I wanted to try a fresh tomato soup with mozzarella balls and crostinis for dipping. Claire made the crostinis, and she did an amazing job! The food turned out awesome, though the mozzarella balls didn't melt into the soup quite like I had hoped. Oh well, we'll have to tweak that one.

When we got to Grandma and Papas, we all worked on decorating a Christmas sweater cookie. I think they were supposed to be ugly Christmas sweater cookies, but some turned out rather beautiful! And none quite so beautiful as Danny's cookie... :) Joey LOVED this activity, as he got to sit and eat an entire cookie all by himself!!

After cookies was dinner and visiting, which are always awesome. And then the kids got to open their Christmas jammies from Grandma. To be honest, I think this is my favorite part! Grandma found some really cute ones this year! The boys got Star Wars and the girls got Frozen. Joey actually ended up with a set...one that was his "dark side" jammies and one that was his "good side" jammies. They are so cute!

And for another fun activity, the kids played a rowdy round of UNO Attack. The kids had a blast with that game!

And before we knew it, it was time for the annual pictures of the kids in their jammies in front of the Christmas tree. These cousins are growing up so much! Just missing Andi, Liam, Remington, Jocelyn, Tavin, and Michael...

Now on to Christmas Eve!
