The evening before Sophie's birthday, we decided to try out the park by our house. We wanted to do something fun to celebrate Sophie's birthday, since her actual day was on Sunday. We had tried to figure out something to do all day, but between things that needed to get done and nap times and nursing times and dinner time, we just ran out of time! It turned out that the park was perfect. The kids had a blast!!
First of all, how stinkin' cute is this guy?! Luke is getting old enough to appreciate his surroundings a bit, and the park was much to his liking. That, and his finger... :)
Sophie was true to her monkey-like nature and was all over the place! Burning that last bit of 3 year-old energy before she matured into a calm, responsible 4 year-old. ;)
Johnny was surprisingly cautious this time. He spent a lot of time trying to muster up the courage to try one of the slides. He finally went down one of the smaller ones...right before it was time to go.
And Claire was Claire...off in her own world full of ballerinas and princesses. She started out as a ballerina...
And then was Rapunzel, trapped in her tower, awaiting her true love. :)
And if you thought his face was cute, check out those adorable little toes! I love my babies' toes.
Once Johnny had conquered the slide, he was looking for bigger and better adventures. Like pushing his little baby brother in the stroller! Fun! Unfortunately, it was a little too adventurous for Mommy, so he only got to do it long enough to take a picture.
It was a gorgeous evening in late summer, and we had a wonderful time. We love that we've discovered a playground just walking distance from our house, and we love that we have our house! It's evenings like this that remind us what we moved back for. We really do love it here.
