Los Angeles Temple...at last!

At long last, Danny and I were finally able to get to LA to attend the temple!  We couldn't have done it without Robbie and Kris, who were gracious enough to watch the kids for us while we did a session.  It took us about an hour and a half to get to the temple, without traffic.  I actually quite enjoy the drive, though I'm not actually driving!

We arrived in time to attend the 4:30 session, and it wasn't busy at all!  They do things a bit differently at this temple, but I do have to say it is easily one of the most beautiful temples I've been in!  It was so opulent and elegant!  The rooms were enormous!  Danny and I can hardly wait to go again...

The girls weren't feeling particularly photogenic, so I didn't get any pictures of them around the grounds (which are also beautiful!)   Robbie and Kris said they had SO much fun with them while we were doing our session, though!  They have a cute little place on Fort McArthur AFB, and out in the common area is a lot of grass (which my children react to like other children do to exotic animals) along with a slide and swings.  The girls had a blast!  Sophie especially enjoyed the slide.

Robbie and Kris prepared a wonderful dinner for us, and we stayed for a couple of hours and enjoyed their company before making the long trek home.  It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday, and I anticipate there will be many more such Saturdays in our future!  Hopefully with more pictures... :)
