Happy Birthday to Lukey! I can't believe he'd be four years old this year. It's such an interesting thing, celebrating his birthday without him. We didn't do much this year, on account of me and Joey. But we didn't let the day go by without doing something for Luke!
We grabbed flowers and balloons and went to the cemetery. It seemed like the perfect day to take Joey there for the first time. We know that Joey and Luke know each other, but it felt like...in a way...we were introducing Joey to his big brother. It was a special moment for Danny and I.
After the cemetery, we got a birthday treat at Menchie's in honor of Luke. We all miss Luke so much, and especially on his birthday. But we all make sure it's a happy day...there's another day in the year to cry for Luke. Today, on his birthday, we celebrate Luke!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Smiles!! We love you and we miss you every day!
