Luke's One Year Photoshoot

When our kids turn one, we get some professional photography done to capture that perfect age.  To capture the time where they teeter the precipice of baby cuteness and toddler antics.  It's such an amazing time, and all the more so for Luke.  It's interesting, when Luke turned one he was healthier looking than he had been since he was 5 months old.  But now that more time has passed since these pictures, I realize how puffy and swollen he still was from the transplant and steroids.  While this makes my heart ache a bit for all he had to go through, I still see triumph in his eyes.  Luke had literally been through the valley of the shadow of death, and he came through it strong.  We love this little boy more than the most eloquent words could ever express.  Our boy, our warrior, our hero.
