Megan's BYU-I Graduation

I can't even believe it, but my oldest niece is now married and is done with her college degree!! It's been such a fun experience having Megan at BYU-I during the last four years or so. We traveled to Rexburg to see her run her first marathon before she left on her mission. We spent time with her at the cabin in Island Park, and stopped to see her on campus during other trips. We got to watch her fall in love with Mark and our home was where they would often stay during their trips to Utah. We feel like we've gotten a front row seat to Megan's college career, so of course we wanted front row seats for graduation!! :)

We piled the kids in the car, and Grandma Candy too, and did an up-and-back-in-one-day trip to Rexburg. We spent some time hanging out at Mark and Megan's apartment, and then some of us went with Megan to campus so I could do some graduation photography for her. We had a blast!!

Megan's convocation ceremony was pretty late in the evening...not starting until 8:00 pm! But it gave us plenty of time for dinner. :) Jeff treated everyone to a delicious dinner at Johnny Carino's in Idaho Falls, which was particularly nostalgic for Danny who remembers that restaurant being one of the only decent places to take a date during his time at BYU-I. ;) All full of wonderfully carby goodness we made our way back to Rexburg and enjoyed watching Megan receive her diploma.

And then it was time to party! :) Megan was a supervisory at the writing center for quite a bit of her time as a student, and it became a home away from home for her. So she got the keys and had her post-gradaution bash at her beloved writing center. Unfortunately, we had quite the drive back home so we didn't stay for the festivities. Just long enough for pictures and hugs all around.

I am so proud of Megan and the woman she's become! I can't believe I'm old enough to see her graduated and starting her life in this big, wide world. But I feel privileged to see her take this world by storm. Love you, Megan!
