The summer has been a busy one for everyone, but we had to fit in a visit to Grandpa Richard's! Plus we had his Father's Day present still, so we needed to get that to him. :) We had a wonderful afternoon of eating, visiting, and swimming! We always have such a nice time together. And Grandpa Richard gave Claire, Sophie, and Johnny their customary half dollar coin...which the kids love. He showed them around their new condo and pointed out the art on the walls that he had either drawn or painted. The kids thought that was so neat! But a definite highlight of the afternoon is when Grandpa gave Johnny a toy pistol that was his when he was 8! It's in mint condition, and Johnny is in love! It's quite the heirloom, which we had to explain to Johnny. :)
Both Grandpa Richard and Grandma Ruth Ann fawned over the kids...but most especially Joey. :) He was such a cooperative grandson and just let them hold him! What a good kid! We're so grateful we took the time to go spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma, and can't wait until next time!
