The Downs Are In Town!

A few months ago, after we saw the Sacred Gifts exhibit at BYU, I told my niece Rose in passing that they should totally come visit us for Easter and see the exhibit themselves.  Time went by, and nothing was really said again.  Then, just a week before Easter, Jami said that she heard we were wanting them to come visit for Easter.  I told her I really only said it in passing, but she thought it was a great idea!  The Downs were coming to town for Easter! :)

Since Rose still really wanted to see the exhibit (she's a budding artist herself), they took I-70 from Denver so they'd pass through Provo on their way to Layton.  I decided to load up the kids and meet them at the exhibit.  We had so much fun together!  The adults and older children really enjoyed the exhibit, but admittedly the kids really just wanted to get outside and play.  To be fair, the Downs kids had been in the car for more than 7 hours.  I let Jeff and Jami and their older kids enjoy the exhibit for a while longer, and I took the crazy kids outside.  These cousins love to get together and play!

Once everyone was through with the incredible art, we enjoyed the beautiful spring weather.  Springtime at BYU is just gorgeous, and the portion of campus surrounding the Museum of Art is particularly beautiful.  It put us all in a good mood!  Jami and I even took a selfie. :)

After we were done at BYU, we all made our way to our house for dinner.  Grandma Candy, Jenny's family, and Jessie's family met us there.  We all had a ton of fun catching up and watching the kids play in our back yard.  It was so much fun that the kids didn't want it to end!  We had the first cousin sleepover at our house, and everyone slept surprisingly well.

It was going to be an awesome Easter weekend!!
