Isabelle in "Shrek the Musical"

Isabelle got one of the leading rolls in her school's rendition of "Shrek the Musical". She played Teenage Fiona, as well as being part of the ensemble. She blew us away with her amazing vocals, never mind the courage it took to sing solo on the stage! Isabelle was certainly in her element, and we can't wait to see her in her next show!

Megan's Bridal Shower

With Megan getting married so close to my due date, we knew I wasn't going to be able to be there when she got married. Danny knew I was terribly disappointed by that, so he came up with the idea of me going out to Colorado for her bridal shower a couple of month before the wedding. I loved that idea, but when I approached Jami about it, she thought maybe me hosting the bridal shower here in Utah might be better for everyone. I jumped at that idea!

Jami and Lily came out a couple of days before the shower, and that gave us time to not only prepare for the shower but to have some fun, too! Johnny and I took Jami and Lily to Provo one day so that they could go through the open house for the Provo City Center Temple. It is the first open Lily has been able to do, and both her and Jami loved the experienced. After the open house, we did some shopping for wedding attire for Jami. It was such a fun day!

After our fun day, it was all about getting ready for the shower. It took some serious work...and that was after weeks of creating a menu and getting decorations figured out and invitation out. I've never done a party to this scale before...and it was awesome! But I'm so glad Jami came early to help me execute. I couldn't have done it in my very-pregnant-state without her...and of course, Danny. That man is amazing. He spent the whole day before the shower cooking for me! He set up tables and chairs, and managed everything for me. I love him so much. And he loves me, obviously. But even cooler than that, he loves Megan. Best. Uncle. Ever. :)

Really, everyone loves Megan. Jannet traveled from Colorado with Nichole and her kids. Jannet's family that is local all came...it was awesome! We did have a lot of little girls around, so we put them to work decorating the entrance to the school. They did a great job!

While the girls were busy decorating outside, we were busy decorating inside. Everything turned out beautifully...better than I could have imagined! Couldn't have done it without Jami's touch. She's magic that way...

Jami shines in the decor department. But the food is where I shine! I spent hours and hours researching recipes and coming up with the best menu for a brunch. We had garlic artichoke dip with baguettes, Italian cold-pressed sandwiches, sun-dried tomato and goat cheese frittatas, and three types of dessert shooters: chocolate brownie with chocolate mousse, peanut butter mousse pie, and banana cream pie. The food turned out incredible, and everyone was impressed! That made me a happy girl. :)

With the decor up and the food presented, we were ready to begin! We had such a wonderful turnout, and I'm so grateful to Camillia for taking pictures for me so I didn't have to worry about it. It was technically a "kitchen shower", so Megan got many wonderful gifts to get her started in her life as a wife and future mother...but she got a fun gift or two as well. :)

It was the perfect bridal shower for a perfect bride. I'm so proud of Megan...she's grown up to be an amazing young woman. And I'm so glad she's still my friend. We're so excited for her big day (even though we're totally sad we can't be there!) Her and Mark have such a wonderful adventure ahead of them!

Happy Birthday, Mama!

Happy Birthday to me! :)

This year I turn 33...which is kind of crazy. Danny and I have decided that we are officially no longer young. We're not old yet...and not even quite middle-aged. But we are definitely no longer young. :) And with being so very, very pregnant I felt every year and some. Danny took me out to lunch to start the day out right. We enjoyed the dessert at Red Robin. :)

The kids and Danny decorated the window for me, of course. And as soon as they got home I got my birthday present...a deck box! I've wanted one of these for years, to help keep the backyard cleaned up. I was so excited!

Danny made me a special birthday dinner...spinach-stuffed chicken rolls with alfredo pasta and peas. It was really yummy! And best of all...I didn't have to make it. :) The kids had picked out some yummy chocolate cupcakes for dessert and so that I would have something to blow my candles out with. My sweet family took care of every detail. :)

It was a great birthday! Though to be honest, I'm looking forward to the next birthday even more. And by "next birthday", I mean JOEY'S BIRTHDAY! :)

February iMoments

We have set the goal as a family to read the Book of Mormon every night together, and to finish by Christmas. We crossed 1st Nephi off the list, and had brownies to celebrate!

Sophie as a 100-year-old cutie for 100 day at school. She's too cute!

We wanted to make sure Lukey got a Valentine. :)

We met up with the Schultz for some pizza and bowling. We had to get the standard pregnancy pic, especially since these boys are only two weeks apart in due date!

But in the first picture, I'm the only one that looks pregnant. SO...I made Kortney stand sideways! Love these guys, and can't wait to meet Stetson!

Johnny wasn't ready to start the day, so he found the perfect place to snuggle up for some extra shut-eye.

We had the awesome opportunity to take the kids to the Provo City Center Temple Open House. It is such a beautiful temple!! The kids loved it, and we loved the opportunity to show them this sacred house of the Lord, and explain why it's so important that we have temples.

The kids thought it would be cute to get a picture of Dad and Mom...oh my goodness, I'm pregnant! No wonder all the nice ladies in the temple kept asking me if I wanted to take the elevator. :)

I {heart} Claire's hair!

When your too-cool-for-school 5 year-old takes a selfie. :)

Sun-dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Frittatas in the test kitchen for Megan's shower!

This ice cream is the best, and worst, thing to happen to this pregnancy!

As soon as the weather seemed even remotely warm enough, Danny had to take the kids and Maese hiking. It was a beautiful 6.6 miles!
