Claire's 10th birthday was a little disjointed this year. Her birthday was going to arrive when we were in Nauvoo, so we did some celebrating early. :) We had originally planned to have the family over for cake and presents on the Sunday before we left, but it didn't work in anyone's schedule. So she kind of got her gifts piece meal...
From Mom and Dad, she got the cutest messenger bag ever! That way, she has a place for all her important things (i.e. retainer case), and it'll be perfect for our trip. She also got a new book for the trip, Story Thieves. Then Aunt Millie came over and brought her some awesome stuff for her purse including a new wallet, gum, chap stick, and hand sanitizer. And if that wasn't enough, she sewed her a Harry Potter pillow case! From Grandma Candy, Claire got some spending money and cool boredom busting books for the road trip. And Grandma and Papa gave Claire more spending money, per her request.
I think this beautiful, grown up girl is ready for her first epic road trip!! :)
