Somehow an entire year went by since the last time we had Michael over for dinner!! We had such a great time catching up over some delicious smoked barbecue chicken, Panera mac and cheese, and a garden fresh salad. And because it was a special occasion, we even got some yummy Red Button Ice Cream. :)
But the fun really started after dinner...when Johnny brought out all his Nerf guns! It was a Nerf gun war for the ages. Claire and Sophie were the self-designated "darts hoards"...which we quickly explained wasn't the best way to say that. :) So, then they were the "dart collectors"...and did their best not to get caught in the crossfire! It was an awesome evening!
We just love Michael, and he's definitely a part of our family. Whenever he's here, I feel Luke closer to my heart. We would never have met Michael had it not been for Luke. And somehow keeping him in our life keeps Luke in our life, too. We can hardly wait to get together again...and we'll make sure it's not a year this time!
